PMD: Team Vision 4-2: Mean Bean Meanies

The next morning, I woke up from no dream, but when we checked the mail, we found something interesting: Rainbow Gummis seem to be all the rage since we got a special issue of Pokemon news that reads "Camps Are for Gummis!"

It reads as follows:  "Introducing Rainbow Gummis!  Super Sweets that are popular at rescue team camps!  Camps are for Rainbow Gummis!  Rainbow Gummis are for camps!  Why are they so popular among rescue teams all over the world?  They're tasty of course!  And on top of that, they occasionally let you acquire rare qualities!  Rainbow Gummis are quite precious!  To celebrate the camp opening, here's a present from the Camp Club!  Power up by eating Rainbow Gummis at the rescue team camp!  And be the best rescue team!"

Attached to the paper appeared to be a little baggy with 3 rainbow gummies in it!

"Perfect!  Let's share 1 with Magnemite!"  I said happily.

"Let's!"  Rosie agreed.

We went to the Power Plant & we gave Magnemite 1 of our Rainbow Gummis & he really loved it!  His special defense also went up a bit too!  This encouraged me to take Magnemite with us to the Thunderwave Cave with us since it was sparkling.  We found 2 treasure boxes there!  One had a Rainbow Gummi & the other had a Charge Beam TM!  And both had more green crystals too.  In the 2nd run through, I got treasure boxes that gave me TMs for Embargo & Trick Room, a Rainbow Gummi & a Bronze Dojo Ticket.  And they also had a green crystal in them, for a total of 4 found today.  But the next morning, the mailbox was full.

But just as we were about to look in int, we heard a voice say "So this is where the team called Power Fluff Kids live?"

Rosie trembled a bit from that sound.

"Th-That voice...!"  She cried.

We looked to see a Gengar, Medicham & Ekans!  We screamed & jumped back a bit at the sight of this, but I didn't really know them, but that Ekans & Gengar...  A snake & a ghost!  Horrifying!!

"...There'sss nothing here."  Ekans hissed.

"How sad."  Said Medicham.

"Keh, you wouldn't think a team would be ran in a dump like this."  Said Gengar.

Suddenly, hearing this made me mad as I confronted them.

"HEY!  What gives you the right to bash a team base like that?!"  I exclaimed.  "Not everyone had the money to live in something like a huge mansion!  And even if they do, not everyone wants to live there!"

"Uh...  Donnie...?  I don't think you should..."  Rosie began.

Just then, Medicham saw our mailbox.

"Oooh, look!  There's a mailbox~"  She sang.

"Kekeh, yeah!  Check it out!"  Gengar cackled.

"EXCUSE ME!!"  I shouted as I charged towards them.

But right when I did, Ekans looked at me with horrifyingly glaring eyes!  When he did, I suddenly stopped moving & was too scared to move.

"NO WAY!  Resssscue job offersss!"  Exclaimed Ekans.

"Ooh la la!  How tasty~"  Said Medicham.

"We'll take them!"  Said Gengar as they emptied our mailbox.

"EXCUSE ME!"  Exclaimed Rosie.  "They were sent to US!  They belong to US!!"

Gengar looked at Rosie.

"Keh, who cares about who does it?"  He asked.

"We're a rescue team too ya know~"  Said Medicham.

"But we're up to no good~"  Said Ekans.  "How exactly you may asssk?  We cover up asss a ressscue team!  We get away with SSSSSOOOO many thingsss!"

"We plan on world domination!"  Said Gengar.  

"WHAT!?"  We cried.

"World D-Domination?!"  Cried Rosie.

"Kekeh!  You heard right!"  Said Gengar.  "That's why we're-  Hey...  Aren't you Rosie?"

Rosie backed up a bit upon hearing that, looking terrified.  She knew that Gengar looked & sounded familiar to her.

"Well well well!  Looks like raking in cash & adding to our gang could be even more worth it!"  Said Gengar.  "Maybe we'll even humiliate you in the worst ways imaginable!"

Rosie backed up more, unable to muster up the courage to fight.  This enraged me even more as I tried to hold back the urge to attack.

"Soon, you will fall before Team Meanies!!!"  Exclaimed Gengar.  "See ya around~  Kekeh!"

Just then, they started running.

"GET BACK HERE!!"  I screamed, charging at them before Rosie grabbed me by the tail, pulling me away from them.

"NO!  It's not worth it!!  You'll get pummeled!!"  Cried Rosie.

"I DON'T CARE!  THEY'RE STEALING OUR JOBS!!"  I screamed.  "AND NO ONE MESSES WITH MY FAMILY LIKE THAT!!!"

"DONNIE, PLEASE!!"  Cried Rosie, voice cracking a little.

Just then, we heard flapping.  We looked to see it was Pelipper delivering mail!  What timing!  I just stood there, shocked at this.  Even when Rosie let go, I just stared at the mailbox, not moving.

"...Well.  That was unexpected."  I said.

"Donnie, can we please just do the missions we were given...?"  Asked Rosie.

After a bit, I sighed & just went to the mailbox to see what was offered.

"If they come back again, I will mutilate them top to bottom!"  I growled.  "ESPECIALLY after threatening you like that!"

"Donnie...  Just...  Please drop it for now."  Said Rosie.

I looked & saw another news special.  This one had a Wigglytuff Orb in it & it talked about how you can use orbs to make new camps.  To get my mind of what happened, we did some missions on Mt. Steel.  We added Spearow to Pokemon that live here.  We found 6 treasure boxes, 4 of them containing Rainbow Gummis & the last 2 containing Oran Berries.  We got 6 crystals from the boxes too.  The next morning, when we went to get the mailbox, we heard a familiar voice call for us.  We looked & it was Caterpie!

"Hey, Caterpie!  Long time no see!"  I smiled.  "How're you?"

"Please help my friend!"  Cried Caterpie.  "I was playing with Metapod, but he got lost in the Sinister Woods!  He could still be out there!!"

"Aww, how tragic!  Kekeke!"  A familiar voice cackled.

We looked.  The Meanies were back!

"Have no fear!  We're here to save your chum!"  Said Gengar.

"NO!  WE will do it!"  I protested.  "Caterpie came to US!"

"Keh!  Do you really think an amature like you can pull this off?"  Gengar mocked.

"EXCUSE ME?!"  I shouted.

I could feel my body steaming with anger.

"It doesn't matter who does the rescuing."  Gengar said again.

"If someone asked for a SPECIFIC person to help, then YES!  It DOES matter!!"  I exclaimed.

"Tch, right.  Here's the thing: The guy that pulls it off is the hero."  Said Gengar.  "So here's my proposal: Why not give the reward to whoever brings back your chum 1st?"

The second I heard him say that, I lost it & charged right through them, causing them to spin out of control, dazing them for a moment.  Gengar even ended up falling into Medicham, knocking them both over for a moment.

"LEEROOOOOOOY JEENKIINS!!" was the last thing they heard from me as I ran to save Metapod.

"...I don't even have any money."  Said Caterpie.

"Don't worry.  I'll catch up to him & make sure he stays out of trouble."  Said Rosie.  "...I'll need to prepare though..."

Worried about what the Meanies could do to her, she made her preparations quick.  She gathered items we'd need & ran off after me.  By that time, Gengar & the others got up.

"Keh!  That kid's stronger than I expected...  He must've gruaduated from the school of Ramming Past People To Accomplish Your Goals..."  Said Gengar.  "Oh, by the way, if you don't have money, how about this: You can join our team if we succeed!  We'll even let you be a big wheel in Team Meanies!!  Kekekeke!"

"We'll have to move fast if we're gonna succeed though!  They're already on the move!"  Exclaimed Medicham.

"OH, SHOOT!  YOU'RE RIGHT!"  Cried Gengar.  "So that settles it.  Whoever rescues him 1st wins."

With that, they ran off to the Sinister Woods, where me & Rosie were going.  I ran towards the entrance, stopping for a moment to take a break.

"I think I have a good lead on them."  I said to myself, looking back.  "I hope Rosie isn't in trouble..."

Right when I said that, I saw Rosie running towards me!

"Donnie!"  She exclaimed.

"Wow!  You came just in time!"  I said.

"Yeah.  But there you go running off again!"  Said Rosie.  "That's not a good way to run a team!  I could've gotten hurt!"

"...I know.  But you're not.  Now let's find Metapod before they catch up."  I said.

"...Yeah.  Best not fight about it for now."  Said Rosie.  "Let's just get this done!"

We immediately went into the Sinister Woods.  I gotta say, despite the name, it was pretty beautiful, with grassy hills, berry bushes & flowers dotting the walls.  Not to mention the cool looking trees & mushrooms.  The sign pointed to a line of mushrooms guiding us forward.  We once found a Poochyena weak from hunger!  And as a show of kindness, I gave him an apple.  This made him want to join us & how could we say no?  His rare quality is Steamroll.  So even if a move doesn't have any effect on a Pokemon for 1 reason or another, it'll still do damage!  We also saved a Magby, but we couldn't recruit him due to not having a good camp for him.  At least he's up & running again though.  The Pokemon that we found here were Swinub, Oddish, Sudowoodo, Sunflora, Sentret, Shroomish, Linoone, Ledyba, Hoothoot, Slakoth & Exeggutor.  A Ledyba ended up confusing Rosie & caused her to accidentally hit the Poochyena, but I took care of it quickly before any more harm was done.  We later saved a Teddiursa too.  I had to be saved a few times by my allies giving me Oran Berries, but I was fine with that!  We even recruited a Ledyba!  But we soon reached a clearing.

"We're almost there...!  I can feel it in my fur!"  I exclaimed.

"Oh really?  Are you sure that feeling isn't a bunch of bugs crawling all over you?!"  A familiar voice cackled.

Just then, Gengar & the Meanies went right in front of us!

"Keke, you 2 are quite fast, but WE'LL be the ones to find Metapod 1st!"  Said Gengar.  "We're NOT about to let you go any further!"

"You're always interfering with us!"  I shouted angrily.

"...Fine!  If you won't leave us alone, then we'll have to FORCE you too!"  Exclaimed Rosie.

"Oooooh, is that a challenge?"  Said Gengar.

"YES!"  We both shouted.

"Oooh, I've never enjoyed a challenge against world domination in such a long time~"  Medicham sang.

"Thissss'll make Caterpie'ssss reward even ssssweeter!"  Ekans hissed.  "Assss well asss when he joinssss ussss, bringing ussss closssser to our goal!"

"Funny thing is, had that kid not rammed through us back at the base, we could've captured you to make him submit to our will."  Said Gengar.  "But you know what?  I have a better idea: Why not torture BOTH OF YOU where you're standing?!"

"I'd like to see you try, Gengar!  I'm not afraid of you anymore!"  Exclaimed Rosie.

"Very well...  Your party ends now!!"  Shouted Gengar.  "This is the end for you!!"

I grinned as I pulled out my Confuse Wand.

"You think you have the upper hand, eh?"  I asked.  "Well you thought wrong!"

I then waved it at Ekans, confusing him & making him all dazed.  As Gengar attempted to Shadow Punch me, Rosie attacked with Bite, getting his face which REALLY hurt him!

"GAAAH!  You little...  You're not the Eevee I knew years ago!"  Exclaimed Gengar.

"Good!  You will join Ekans too!"  I exclaimed as I waved the Confuse Wand at Gengar too.

Gengar was having a hard time seeing, giving Rosie AND Poochyena a chance to both use Bite on him.  Meanwhile, Medicham used Confusion on Ledyba, but he survived it.  But Ekans recovered from confusion, so I used the wand on him again.  Rosie & Poochyena did their Double Bite Maneuver, but Gengar's Cursed Body ability suddenly kicked in, causing Poochyena's Bite to be disabled.  But in spite of the confusion, Ekans still somehow managed to hit me with his bite attack!  Ledyba used Swift on Medicham, causing her to be blown back a bit as the stars hit her chest, but she countered with Zen Headbutt, weakening Ledyba alot.  Poochyena saw this & healed Ledyba with an Oran Berry.  Meanwhile, I used Electro Ball on Ekans, zapping him badly as the ball flew towards him.  Ekans tried to use Wrap on Poochyena, but he ended up hitting Gengar instead.

This aggravated Gengar as he pushed Ekans off him as he exclaimed "Get off me!"

"S-S-S-S-S-S-So-o-o-orry-y-y-y-y, ma-a-a-a-a-ster-er-er-er..."  Ekans moaned.

"Grr...  That wand is the bane of our existence...!"  Gengar growled.

Thinking it would work, Gengar used Shadow Punch on Rosie.  But the shadowy effects did nothing...  But make her laugh & fall over.

"Hehehehahahahahaha!  Stahp, that tickles!!"  Rosie laughed.

Seeing this only angered Gengar.  But before he could do anything else, I confused him with the wand again.  ...But I seemed to have used it too much since it broke now!  Rosie immediately used Bite again, hitting Gengar's hand this time, causing him to flinch.  Poochyena then used Tackle on Gengar & thanks to the Steamroll perk, Gengar actually took damage!  It's amazing what perks can do!  Ledyba used Swift on Medicham again, but instead of retaliating, she used Meditate.  But then, Ekans recovered from confusion (again) & stabbed me right in the chest with his tail, using Poison Sting on me.  It hurt, but thankfully, I wasn't poisoned.  I countered with Electro Ball, straight into Ekans's face.  Rosie used Bite on Gengar, causing him to flinch again.  Poochyena took this chance & used Tackle again.  Ledyba used Tackle on Medicham, but MEdicham dodged out of the way to use Meditate again.  Ekans then used Wrap & coiled around me tightly.

"AAAAH!"  I cried as he squeezed me hard.

Desperate to get out of it, I used Electro Ball 1 more time on him.  And that last Electro Ball was all it could take.  Eevee & Poochyena did their Bite & Tackle combo & Ledyba used Tackle again, but it missed again.  Medicham used Confusion on Ledyba again.

Gengar recovered from confusion, shouting "ENOUGH!!"  As he used Night Shade on us.

But I was the only one who took damage.  Gengar panted in anger, clearly having enough of what he's going through.  But I wasn't about to allow Gengar to strike, so I forced him to sleep with the Sleep Seed, then the Bite & Tackle happened again.  Medicham tried to use Zen Headbutt on Ledyba, but to no avail.  Ledyba flew above her & used Tackle right into her head!  But mine, Eevee & Poochyena's attacks ended up missing Gengar because of his tossing & turning.  It was so intense that it looked like he dropped on the deck & flopped like a fish!  The pattern of Zen Headbutt missing Ledyba & Ledyba's tackling continued as normal, but this time, Ledyba attacked Medicham's back.  I intended to end Gengar with 1 last Electro Ball, but he woke up & floated out of the way before it could hit!  But that gave Rosie a chance to bite Gengar's tail, but the Cursed Body kicked in & sealed Bite so she couldn't use it either.  But it was obvious that Gengar was very weak, so Poochyena took this opportunity to finish him off with 1 last Tackle.  Medicham's Zen Headbutt missed (again), but this time, Ledyba used Swift to attack instead to change it up & the stars hit her legs this time, causing her to fall over.  He used Swift again, but right as I was about to use Electro Ball on her, she used Zen Headbutt on me, getting me right in the chest & knocking me right into a tree!  I would've been done for had it not been for my Tiny Reviver Seed.

"You're going to pay for that!!"  I exclaimed.

Ledyba & Poochyena used Tackle on her again, weakening her just enough for me to finish her off with 1 last Electro Ball.  I launched it from my tail & it shocked every part of her body.  And it was all it could take as she fell over, knocked out.

"Owowowow..."  Gengar groaned.  "You'll...  Pay for this!!"

"Yeah.  I'll probably pay for it in rings."  I said, referring to the Sonic the Hedgehog rings as I went down the path to find Metapod.

Rosie snickered at this as she followed.  We soon saw a Metapod bouncing around in the woods.

"Metapod!"  I exclaimed as I approached.

"...Are you looking for me?"  Asked Metapod.

"Yes.  We're bringing you back to Caterpie."  I said.

"YAY!  Thank you so much!  I was scared, so I kept my shell hard & waited for days!"  Cheered Metapod.

"Well, wait no more!  Let's go!"  I said.

This time, we had 3 treasure boxes.  2 had a rainbow gummi & another had a TM for Toxic.  We also got 3 green crystals with them!

"Welcome back, Metapod!"  Cheered Caterpie.

"Thank you, Caterpie!"  Cheered Metapod.

"And thank you 2!"  Said Caterpie, eyes twinkling again.  "...But I don't have any money..."

"Don't worry.  We don't need a reward!"  I said.  "All I care about is that you 2 are safe!"

"Y-You mean it...?"  Caterpie said, eyes twinkling again.  "You're even cooler than before!!  I want to be just like you 2 when I grow up!"

"I hope you do!"  I said.

"Yeah!  Chase that dream!"  Said Rosie.  "Actually...  I just thought of something!  Why not make a bigger & better team base?"

"That's cool!  I'd love to help out with that!"  Caterpie cheered.  "I want to work here when I grow up!"

"Me too!"  Cheered Metapod.

"Then it's settled!"  I smiled.  "Someday, this will become something better!"

"Thank you 2 again!"  Said Metapod.

"Be careful going home."  Said Rosie.

They nodded as they left.

"Welp.  We worked for free."  I said.

"It was the right thing to do though."  Said Rosie.  "Also...  I'm willing to forgive you for charging into Sinister Woods like that if only because they could've done something bad to me if you didn't..."

Just then, we heard a voice say "Hey!"

We looked to see Poochyena & Ledyba barely catching up.  Poochyena seemed to be holding a big green crystal in its mouth.

"The Meanies dropped this when they fled."  Said Poochyena as it put it on the ground next to us.  "Why not have that as a reward for dealing with them?"

"...This is great!"  I said.

"Agreed!  Let's have it as a keepsake!"  Said Rosie.  "For bashing the Meanies' skulls in!"

"Yeah."  I smiled as I yawned.  "But for now...  Let's get some sleep..."

"Agreed."  Said Rosie.

Me & Rosie went into the house while Poochyena & Ledyba went to their respective camps.
